Jubilee Party allege withdrawal of security 


Kisii County Jubilee Party Gubernatorial Candidate Chris Obure has castigated the government over alleged withdrawal of his security officers ahead of general election Tuesday.  


Speaking in Kisii town, Obure said there was no explanation over the alleged move saying he will not be cowed to continue with his bid for the position.


“Why remove my body guards now and what is the motive?” he posed.


The aspirant also appealed to the police to tow the shell of a vehicle, which was torched by angry villagers after it hit several people during a political campaign by the ODM Gubernatorial candidate Simba Arati on Saturday.

He noted the vehicle which caused death of one and injuries to six others, remains at the scene of accident and needed to be towed to the nearest police station, pending investigations.


The accident occurred at Eburi village in Bobasi, where angry villagers are said to have torched the motor vehicle after the accident.
