Hotpoint Appliances opens Eldoret office

KNA   Uasin Gishu governor Jackson Mandago has asked a leading home and electrical appliances supplier, Hotpoint appliances to consider offering internship programmes for students finishing related technical courses across the county.

Speaking during the opening of the company’s 8th branch, which is first in Eldoret at Rupa mall on Friday, the governor said the move was a show of confidence of the county’s investment potential by the company management and assured them his governments was ready to offer conducive business environment for Hotpoint and any other investors that chose to invest in the fast-growing town.

Mandago however noted the investors should also support the county by offering internship to graduates of technical and Vocational Education and Training colleges (TVET) to help them acquire practical skills and employing some where possible.

The Managing Director of Hotpoint appliances limited, Mr Shailesh R. Kanani confirmed that he will provide internship opportunities to nine technicians
