Meru County gubernatorial aspirant Mithika Linturi has promised to uplift education and economic status in the county.
Speaking at Maua town in Igembe South sub-county the senator who was flanked by other dignitaries maintained that his main aim is to identify strategies for pursuing quality education to ensure 100 percent transition from primary to secondary school.
“Education is the only key towards any meaningful development for any community to prosper,” Linturi said.
He noted that his administration will provide quality education to all, regardless of socioeconomic background so as to leverage development in health advances, agricultural innovations and growth in private sectors.
In the same vein the senator urged residents to conduct peaceful campaigns free from incitements and vote in leaders who have the people’s interest at heart.
He also called upon other politicians to restrain from making divisive and inflammatory remarks during their hunt voting mission and even in their social media platforms and respect other people’s views and ideologies.
“Meru County needs leaders who will preach peace and social cohesion among the residents regardless of their political backgrounds,” he said.
