KNA Over 3,000 needy students from Kajiado North Constituency have benefitted from bursaries from the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
Speaking in Nkaimurunya ward when he handed over cheques to some of the beneficiaries, Kajiado North MP Joseph Manje said the bursaries programme was crucial in ensuring that children do not miss out on education because of lack of fees.
“It is important that students have access to education to give them a bright future. I am striving to reach as many students as possible in my constituency especially those from needy backgrounds, “Manje said adding each student is expected to receive Sh5,000.
Manje revealed that a large fraction of funds had been allocated by the NG-CDF towards education programmes aimed at enhancing students’ enrolment, retention and transition rate in the region.
NG-CDF has had an incredible impact in the constituency particularly the construction of classes and provision of school equipment.
